Do you machine wash them - or dry clean them?

I do not wash them everytime I wear them (unless I spilled on them or it was really really smokey).  I wash them inside out and lay them out to dry.  This has kept there color and shape really well.  I use to wash and dry them normal and this faded a pair really bad so I have since switched to my new way and it seems to work perfectly.  I also wash on the gentle cycle.  If I need to dry them I throw them on light dry for a fewminutes to get wrinkles out or whatever.  HTH.

I don't wash mine every time I wear them either. I used to wash them and lay them to dry, but now dry them in the dryer - gentle cold wash, immediate removal and folding from the dryer. If I want to freshen them between washings, I put them in the dryer for a few minutes with a dryer sheet...

I wash them in cold water in the machine inside out, hang dry, then press.

i get them dry cleaned, but not after every wear. i also stick them in the dryer w/ a sheet (as detroit mentioned) to freshen them up b/t dry clean visits.

my darker wash thicker/heavier jeans I dry clean only, but my lighter wash ones, I wash cold, and sometimes just dry if they are too stretched out and I need to shrink them a little, otherwise I hang dry and fluff in the dryer for a few.

My jeans that I like to wear out (my pink A pockets, my Citizen Kellys) I only dry clean so that they keep their color and awesome crease.  The ones that I wear more casually I wash cold, inside out and a delicate cycle to dry.

i wash them inside out, and dry them in the dryer (well mainly my coh's b/c they stretch out so damn much). as soon as they dry, i fold them along the crease to help them maintain their shape and put them away.

I hated the idea of "crunchy" jeans from air drying.....so I wash inside out with liquid fabric softener and put them in the dryer for 20 minutes.  Then I hang dry over night.  Seems to work well for me b/c I am terrified to losing any length and having short pants.

Does the inside out really make a difference?

I think that washing inside out helps to maintain the original wash color.
