So. Just heard from Girlshop. Oops! They don't have the jacket in a size 4! Or a size 6! So they are sending the 8. What do we think of tailoring this - it should be possible, right? RIGHT?!!

I love that blazer! I remember when you were first considering it, and I'm glad you went for it. Good luck with the sizing!

aww, that sucks that they don't have your size. but it doesn't look like it would be too difficult to get it altered, so you should be okay. good luck!

Looove. However, I know nothing about seamstress issue... my only concern is that would the pockets still sit in the right place if it had to be nippped in a ton at the waist? I think two sizes isn't that much... will they let you return it if you try it on a realize it's not take-in-able?

I don't know, dc. I would be willing to pay for a skilled tailor to do this (usually I am not so fussy) because I LOVE it and have been coveting it for ages.

If it just isn't doable (and really, that is going to be a hard fought road to that conclusion) maybe I'll exchange it. It's a gift so...? Girlshop said on the phone that it's waitlisted so I don't think returning it would be a problem. They need to be more on top of their availability than they are, though, grrrrrr!

mia - then go for it. If you love it that much (and like everyone said, two sizes is most likely doable), you should have it!

Well, it was purchased last week...I guess it just took them a long time to get back to us on the sizing thing because it's Xmas.

I'll have to find myself a skilled tailor now...
