a stupid college question

I feel like I should just know this, but I don't and neither does anyone I've talked to. I graduated last summer and with a BA in Communications and minors in English and Latin. Now that I'm out of school, I really miss Latin and I want to continue to take classes. At least for a semester or two, I'd like to just take it easy and keep myself in practice by just taking some higher-level undergrad classes, basically at the same level I was at during the last semester before graduating. I just don't want to lose my Latin, but I don't have the time or energy to spend on demanding coursework.

Even though I already have a degree, is it possible for me to just putter around taking undergrad classes at the local university, or would they not let me do that?

I think a lot of universities allow auditing (taking credit classes as non-credit), but I think the policies vary from college to college. I would recommend checking at your local college to find out what they offer.

A lot of schools allow that, but you would need to check with the particular school you are looking at for sure.

Yep -- just wanted to add that it may be worth "shopping around" if you have more than one option since prices vary a lot for continuing ed courses.

Yes.  One term to search is "non-degree-seeking."

May be more cost effective to take a class at a community college.
