Too funny - my best friend R just told me this story.  Our friend, K, just turned 21 last monday.  This weekend to celebrate, R and K went out to dinner with K's family and she had 2 margaritas and a shot of tequila.  Then, they went to Hooters to meet up with some more friends and she had a beer and a Mikes hard lemonade (and proceeded to hang on a few random men and gush about her birthday).  Then, they went downtown to a bar and she had 3 mixed drinks and another beer.  Apparently, someone failed to inform her of 'the rhyme'.  "Beer before liquor and you'll be sicker, liquor before beer and you're in the clear".  Needless to say, as soon as she got home, she puked her guts out for 2 hours!  This, my friends, I find hilarious b/c if she had been drinking as a minor like the rest of us, she would have known better and had a fun, drunken birthday as opposed to what she did have - a drunken puke-fest !  Hahahahahahah

Thats really sad!!! Personally I believe in the never mix, never worry rule myself...


That said, maybe I am just getting old but must someone who is turning 21 get crap faced just because they are now actually legal? There has to be better and more dignifed ways to actually mark this milestone.
