I'm so new to all this myspace crap...but I did get in contact w/ an old friend! Yay! We're goin' out for drinks this weekend! :)

Oh I spoke too soon.  I've started getting a flood of friend invites from bands and random guys.  Major weirdos too.  I just keep hitting deny.

Oh yeah.  You definitely get a lot of weird invites when you are on MySpace.  That is why I told you guys to send me a message if you invited me and it wasn't obvious who you are.  I got 7 just today, which is actually more than usual.  Tosh, they probably aren't sending you any because you are married.  The sleazy guys that try to pick up girls on MySpace usually target single girls, I think. 

I just erased everyone I didn't know yesterday (excluding stylethread girls, who I feel like I know).  I was getting annoyed with the bulletins they posted and I didn't want them bothering my friends either.  I have this one girl I would love to erase off of my list, but feel bad.  She is a girl who pledged my sorority after I graduated and I met her like once.  She must have found me by looking through another one of my sisters' profiles.  She posts about 10 stupid bulletins a day, mostly crap like "if you would make out with the person that posted this, repost it and find out who will make out with you" or 10 page long polls or "I'm bored.  Is anyone around?" 

Every once in a while, a guy who seems normal will send me a message and I will talk to him a couple times on MySpace, but after about 2 messages I  lose interest in it and then I feel bad for not responding.  So, now I never answer message people send me either.  I know I will just have to go through the guilt of leading them on when I will never want to meet them.

You know, ever since I changed my main picture and added you girls, I have been getting about 100 times more "adds" from people.  I just signed into my e-mail this morning and had 10 messages saying somebody or other wanted to be added as a friend.  I denied them all, but I just thought it was interesting.  Haha...maybe they are like "wow, this girl has so many pretty friends.  I gotta hang out with her."

Yeah I just opened mine with duplicate adds.  Must be something with their servers.  I'm mainly deleting them all.  Except the marine guy who seemed safe since he's on the other side of the country!

 

Is there a way to quit having email sent to me every time someone wants to add me or sends me an email over on myspace.com?  I woke up this morning with 40 email messages in my yahoo account.

Where is the account settings?  I need that too.  Right now I have everything from myspace.com going straight into the trash can but no email would be even better!

I just found it.  Thanks for letting me know this.  I also found a box you can check that will block all bands from requesting you to add them.  I quickly checked that option.
