Orlando in April
Permalink Closed

One of my sisters is going to Orlando for work and she is taking my mom as a guest and my dad will be going as well. My sister only gets one day off to hang out with her guests and nights of course.
Are there any recommendations of things my parents could do or places to go during the day? Any good Restaurants? I think they will be staying at the Caribe Royal (it's the one right in front of one of the theme parks) so are there any good places to go to around there?

Also, what is the weather like in April? They will be going during the first week. Does it get really humid?

TIA!

If you're staying out near the theme parks, there will be tons of touristy things to do.  There's some shows that are really fun (I've seen Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil) and I've also been indoor skydiving out there.  The Mall at Millenia also has pretty good shopping.  If they have a car, I would suggest going to New Smyrna Beach.  It's only about an hour from Orlando, and it's a great, fun beach to hang out on.

The weather is usually hot, but it's been kinda cold this week (it's in the 50s today).  Humidity is pretty much a given.  I would say if the trip is in a couple weeks, it will probably be in the 70s, but it might be hotter if she's coming in late April.

Hope that helped!  Let me know if you have any more questions.

We're actually flying to Orlando Sunday ourselves. It shows the weather being in the low 80's next week (1st in April) - hope it stays that way!!

If they want to shop... I'd highly recommend Orlando Premium Outlets. They're right by Downtown Disney and they are my favorite outlets. They have the typical stuff like Gap, but also Cole Haan, Max Studio, Dior, Burberry, Tods and Ferragamo.

The Mall at Millenia is also good. They have Neimans, Bloomingdales, Anthro and other good shopping. There is also a DSW and some other things right outside the mall.
