My mom emailed me today and told me that she received an anonymous 7-page-letter in the mail.  The person wrote in length against Catholics. 

My mom lives in a small town (apx 13,000 pop.) is a cantor in her church.  The masses are broadcast on the local tv channel, and there is a large-ish Catholic population in the region.  My mom is quite visible to the public because she works at a local bank.   Someone must have made the connection between the tv show and my mom at work.

What the hell?  I wish my mom would stop cantoring because she gets all this weird attention for it.  She's had trouble with this one guy, like, stalking her.  They've had to ban him and arrest him for trespassing.  It's so odd.  You'd think she was, like, Laura Brightman or something.  Why don't these people approach the priest?

Cantors sing hymns and lead the music portions of the mass. Sometimes she sings alone and sometimes she leads the churchgoers in song.

Wow, that is so scary. I have a friend that is a news anchor in Baltimore and she gets all kinds of creepy mail and stalkers as well. Please tell your mom to be careful.
