Do you think it's okay to wear white pants on Easter?  I usually don't care what others think but I've often wondered about the big debate on wearing white only during a certain time of year???

I like white all year round! Although I guess I wear more off-white in the winter months.

I use the weather as my guide for questions like these. If it is spring-like where you live, then wear the white pants. If it is still snowing or cold, I would probably not unless they are a heavier weight fabric. Does that make sense?

i think it depends on what the weather is like. for instance i would never wear them here (Minnesota) becasue there is still snow on the ground, but if i was in florida or arizona i would say go for it.

I have a pair of white jeans that I wear almost year-round, but then I live in the Atlanta metro and we have pretty mild winters. Lighter-weight pants I woudn't wear in the depths of winter, but otherwise if the weather is nice where you live, why not?

I totally would, as long as the weather's warm.

I think that whole white pants/shoes only between Memorial Day & Labor day is totally antiquated. But then again, I live in CA, where fashion is more relaxed and it's warm in most parts from mid-March thru October (most days anyway!)

As long as it's warm and sunny, I say go for it. I interpret the whole white pants thing really has to do with not wearing "springy" lightweight/airy/pastely combined stuff during the harsh cold months. Like...I wouldn't wear a sunflower print dress for Xmas while eveyone is bundled up in their sweaters and coats. (Hmmm, I wouldnt wear a sunflower dress period! unless I was 2 years old!)

Go for it!  I have a pair of white skinny jeans I can't wait to wear but it's just too darn cold yet!

The more I think about it, the more ridiculous it sounds that you can only wear white pants during a certain time of year! I think white pants for Easter is a great idea.

Go for it! I'm wearing a white eyelet dress w/cardi over it for Easter... and I don't care that my legs will be the same shade of white as my dress aww.gif

I live in the south and really pay no attention to what colors people wear when.  It is always so warm most of the time that people dress springy in what is supposed to be the dead of winter.   I was planning on wearing a white pantsuit (if it fits--I go pick it up today) to church on Easter.  However, that changed when I bought the most gorgeous dress yesterday to wear instead.  Otherwise, I would be wearing white.

I wish I was as confident as you.  I am going to get a spray tan tomorrow so that I won't look pasty.  I wish I didn't carecry

It's only going to be in the upper 50's I think, but it's supposed to be sunny so I think I'll wear them. They're a thicker material so they don't look "summery". I'm also all about the spray tan! We're leaving for FL next weekend so I've been using Jergans Natural Glow this week (which is working awesome) and I'll spray tan before leaving!

Do you have any hints you can give me for the Jergens Natural Glow?  I have tried it and it splotched a little on me.  However that was last year.

That's so funny that you're bringing this up. I was shopping with a friend last night and she was buying an Easter outfit for her nephew. She turned her nose up at half a dozen things that she determined were "too dark" for Easter and ended up going with a white and blue striped seersucker pant with a bright yellow argyle sweater vest (and a white polo shirt).

First, I think you can wear white all year long. Second, I think Easter is perfect for wearing white and light/bright/pastel colors. Isn't that the purpose? The Easter Bunny where's white, right? Why not you? smile.gif
