Where do you weigh yourself?

The scale at the gym is all over the place and I'm convinced the damn thing is not balanced.  When I was going to the WW meetings, the weight at the gym NEVER matched their scales.  I'm currently following the WW online only so I cant weight myself at the WW office anymore.  How do y'all measure your weight loss?

I have a scale in my bathroom and I weigh myself when I get up (after I've done my business ashamed) That's about the best baseline I have since it's same time, no clothes, etc.

I think the important thing is that you use the same scale every time. I don't even own a scale, but I always hop on my parents' whenever I'm at their house. Their scale consistently tells me that I'm 5-10 lbs heavier than my doctors' scale (I go to the doctor every couple weeks, so I keep an eye on that one too because it's nicer to me!) but I can still tell if I've gained/lost weight with it (even if the total number is incorrect)

Sigh. I am a total obsessive compulsive freak with weighing myself. I have two scales in my house (to verify each other). I weigh myself every morning while naked as my baseline weight. However, I tend to weigh myself multiple times throughout the day.

I have a scale at home that I use on occasion - I recalibrate it to what the doc's scale says after I go each year.

I think the important thing is to weigh yourself on the same scale at the same time of day as much as possible.  I'm more interested in keeping track of any changes in what the scale says as opposed to the actual number, though.

What D said, exactly. I weigh every Monday morning, nekkid. That way, all my variables are constant (except for what I might have eaten in a week!). I tried weighing myself daily for a while, after reading an article about how that might be better, but it drove me crazy. A woman's body weight fluctuates too much. Once a week is much healthier for me.

I use the scale at the gym and it seems to match up with another scale at the gym that I've tried. I go to the gym at the same time every day and always weigh myself wearing the same amount of clothing, including shoes. So, even though the weight on the scale may not be what I weigh naked, it's at least consistent, and that's what I care about.

Q: Where do you weigh yourself?
A: In my nightmares.

Hee - just kidding. I weigh myself at home on my home scale. It's absurdly wrong (almost 10 pounds heavier) but the point is to see the loss/gain. If you pretty much know what you weigh, buy a scale from Target or BB&B and calibrate it to your weight. From there you should be pretty accurate for WW online, I'm guessing.

I'm a bit compulsive sometimes as well. I've been known to hold my bladder in check long enough to weigh myself before so I can get the reward of being a pound or half pound lighter after. Klassy! I try to avoid the scale now though. I check it every couple of weeks to make sure there aren't some huge surprises in store though. It was a hard habit to break.

OK so I weigh myself almost never, or at least as little as possible.

The concept of weight is relative... as long as you are weighing yourself on the same machine to track lbs then it doesnt matter whether the one at your dr's office is different or the one in your kitchen adds 4 lbs. Just use the same one, even if you are starting 10 lbs heavier than the one at the gym, you are measuring weight loss, not weight accuracy.
