I bought this ring (from ebay) and I got a great deal on it!!!

I got it yesterday- its really even prettier in person...but for some reason I am not sure if it is cheesy looking..I guess its not like anything i would normally wear. I do have my eyes on another right hand ring that I really really love - but I probably wont get it for a while...so this is something nice to have to wear now and again...can I wear it during the day - or night time only? Looking for some feedback. TIA

I definitely think you can wear it with jeans or an evening gown.  I have a lot of cocktail rings and I wear them with everything.  One thing you can do to kind of make it a little edgier is have it sized to your index finger.  for example, I have a vintage persian turquoise cocktail ring that I wore on my index finger to work yesterday - just kind of makes it seem less formal/cheesy IMO.

i think it's beautiful and you can totally use it as an unexpected surprise with jeans or work clothes.

I have a big cocktail ring that I get alot of wear out of but like D I had it sized to my index finger. I think it just makes it a bit more edgy looking and unexpected, less ladies who lunch.

I have a smokey topaz coctail ring I wear during the day/night allllll the time and get tuns of compliments.  One thing I do to change it up is wear it with a diamond eternity band.  Kind of like engagement ring and band style.  They both fit on my middle finger.  I really love the coctail ring look!!  Also, supper cute on pointer finger for some edge!  Lovely ring!

I agree...I have bigger gemstone rings than that and I don't think twice about wearing them for day. I love statement jewelry, especially rings. Wear it as often as you like. :)

That is a gorgeous ring.  It reminds me of a ring that a high school aquaintance of mine got when we were seniors.  I was so jealous biggrin.  I would wear it anytime I wanted.
