embarrassing swimsuit question...
Permalink Closed

can't believe i'm asking this...but here goes....how do you keep from looking...ummmm.....cold....in a swimsuit? I was trying on a few of my new swimsuits this weekend and some of the tops are a little thin...I don't want to walk around pointing at everyone on the beach when it gets a little nippy....(hee-hee).

Any advice?

lol. i guess you could wear those "petals", but i think they are adhesive, so they might not stick if you get wet.

honestly, I don't think you have to worry too much. I mean, there are a lot of women who look "cold" on the beach (myself included - I have a problem with this whether I'm on the beach, at work, etc). I guess I always just thought of it as an unavoidable result of the activity involved (swimming with very little fabric on). Some bikini tops have a little padding in them, but at least for me that's never enough to eliminate this problem. I just never really worry about it.

....and this is a problem because? I dont know, I never had this problem much, even when I do get it, its barely noticible but I think its sexy, its the one time you can flaunt it!

Other than that, go for a bathing suit with padding or molding and if it doesn't have any, you could probably have a tailor put some in very easily.

Yeah...I always used to say when I worked at Victoria's Secret... "everybody's gottem; some people have three."

These can be cut to size and sewn/pinned into a swimsuit, or put in the little lining-pockets if they're available:

I've used waterproof medical tape before (not for swimwear, but for under shiny spandex dance costumes - you got docked points for nips!) and it worked well, but was obviously painful to remove!
