JCrew lexington jacket in wool in a couple of colors:

linen kills it for me. i actually bought the lex, but sold it as it was too long in the arms for me. even for the great chadwicks price, i still think the j. crew one would be much better quality for about $50 more.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of any of the color combinations that Chadwicks has. The taupe and white is okay, but I'd like it better if the colors were reversed, ie the taupe was the trim color.

I don't know. A jacket requires a lot of construction and I think scrimping to get the price down really shows in the quality- more so then in dresses, skirts, tops, etc.  Is the J Crew one on eBay?  Did you try that one on and love it?

Of the Chadwicks ones, I like navy/white the best.  I think that one looks the nicest.

erin, the linen is what is bothering me too.  Thanks everyone, but I will pass.  I am afraid it would always fall short of the jcrew.  I will have to watch ebay.
