What to wear...Benefit in April

I'm going to a benefit in April. It is a Black tie event held at the downtown Hilton.  It is still fairly cold in April.  I was thinking a long black dress with a shawl? I love this dress from JCrew, but they are sold out in my size (0) in black. Seen anything like it? Think this stlye would work?

If you like that long dress from J.Crew, I highly recommend that you watch ebay. Right now they have the dress in a 0 in navy blue starting at 9.99 and a buy it now for 59.99.  I have bought 2 long dresses from J Crew on ebay for less than $60 each.
