So this dress came in a couple days ago. I love the dress itself. It's pretty in person, just like in the picture. The color is true to what's on my monitor. The material does feel really thin and flimsy, but it's Delia's so I expected that.

However, the dress doesn't fit! I haven't ordered from Delia's in a couple years so I checked my measurements against their size chart. According to their size chart, I should be on the larger side of the size large. In my past experience, Delia's clothes were always small so I'd have to get a large even when I was a few pounds lighter than I am now to fit into them. But this dress is just too wide and hangs off of me. The size large top I ordered at the same time was also too big. Both have been sent back and I'm exchanging the dress for a medium.

The other dress I ordered,

is on backorder, so I haven't received it yet. If it's too large me also, then I'll know from now on to ignore Delia's size chart and order mediums! (For reference, I'm a size 8 at Banana Republic and a size 10 usually everywhere else. Delia's size chart says I should fit into their 11/12.)

Is the fabric on the first dress so thin that it is really see thru?

It didn't look see thru to me. But I was trying it on at night in my bathroom and the lighting isn't too great in there. When the smaller size comes in, I can check it in natural light to make sure. smile

Thanks for the review. Can you wear a bra with it or would you have to wear a strapless?
Is the fabric thin enough that you could see if you wear wearing a bra or not?

Sorry for the delay in answering! I've been sick with a bad flu. bleh

Yes, it felt like a jersey knit fabric. It's very light and should be a great dress for hot days.

You would need to wear a strapless bra because of the way the straps on the dress curve in. I was wearing my nude bra when I tried it on and I couldn't see it through the fabric.

Delia's has processed my replacement dress in the medium size, so hopefully I'll get it soon! Because I've been so sick, my husband took me shoe shopping to try to make me feel better so I got some cute silver heels to wear with the dress. aww
