I don't have specific advice on Keystone, but just got back from Vail and wanted to say that you are going to have so much fun!!  My trip to Vail was my first time skiing and it was awesome.  Based on my experience, I would recommend a minimum of a full-day lesson, but it is probably better to take 2 days.  That being said, your ski boots will hurt your shins and it will be hard to get up the willpower to put them on the 2nd day, but once they are on and you start having fun, it will be great.  After day 2, I was skiing down the mountain no problem...  Make sure that you get a good night's sleep and that you eat lots of protein as it takes a lot of energy and it really tiring, plus the air is thin! 
Have a great time!!  Oh and layer, layer, layer.  It was 30 and sunny in Vail (very out of character) and I was so happy that my coat had multi-layers which could be quicky shed.

Oops, one more recommendation, buy googles or polarized sunglasses.  They are required or you will burn your retina.  I borrowed goggles, but ended up buying sunglasses because they were so much easier to manage.  That being said, if it snows, you will want the goggles as the snow will sting your face when you go down the mountain.
