question for those of you who knit/crochet

I am learning to crochet and have gotten really good at the single crochet stitch biggrin.  My goal is to learn to thread crochet a nativity scene.  The only nativity scene I can find though is one that is for knitting.  Here is it:

Does anyone know of a nativity pattern for crocheting?  Or, do you think I would better spend my time learning to knit so that I can do this one?

That is absolutely ADORABLE.  It is okay that it is not thread crochet.  I guess I just thought to do something that tiny you would have to use thread.
