What's up with all the strapless? I don't have a problem with strapless dresses in general, but fit is super important and lots of these dresses aren't doing much for the "girls."

No crazy about most of them, America Ferrera looks beautiful though, and that dress is absolutely perfect for her.

Pfeiffer and Applegate were the best.  Glenn Close's was nice on top, but the bottom looked a little homemade.  So many ill-fitting frocks!  I bet many stars were getting ready for SAG at the last minute with the strike and all.

I also agree about Marion Cotilla & Pfeiffer, very classy & pretty.  America looked amazing - that dress was perfect or her body type.  

And this is my most favorite color, so I like it b/c the color is just so freaking pretty:

My thoughts EXACTLY. I don't know what the frenzy is for strapless. I agree about fit and support (!!!) and most of those dresses, IMO, didn't do anything for the great bods of the stars who wore them.

I loved America Ferrera's dress though - by itself *and* on her.

Pfeiffer is my idol! I think Kate Hudson and Ellen Page look lovely, though Ellen could work on the posture. I think Sandra Oh would look nice if the huge obnoxious bow never happened. Tina Fey is just.......ugh! bleh

Glenn Close has a fantastic body, but that dress doesn't look age appropriate on her at all. Not that she needs something uber-matronly, but I just think the top part is too skimpy-looking.

And also, WTH happened to Amanda Bynes? She used to be so cute and now she just looks a bit rough.

And Kate Hudson needs to find a new look. She always looks pretty and that style of dress really works for her, but I'd love to see her branch out and try something other than the flowy/ethereal/flower child look that she always does.

And yeah, America Ferrara looks great--great color, cut and style of her dress. Plus her hair and makeup look great.
