Ok so i really want this dress for my brother's wedding.
delias

Buuut..... i got an email forwarded to me from my mom from my future SIL  in regards to the bridesmaid dresses. (Of which I am not one and not by choice. But thats a whole diferent post)
Her dresses for her 3 bms are this
from ebayfrom ebay in "royal blue like the Buy It Now icon". eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=350018339422&Category=63861&_trksid=p3907.m29BIN

So I'll have to find a new dress, right? Too similar? It would be really tacky for me to wear a smiliar dress when I'm obviously not a bridesmaid?
Help!

Hmmm. I would probably not do it, myself, but you could shoot her an email and ask her if she'd be weirded out.

Ya I probably would avoid wearing a dress in the same color as the bridesmaids dresses.

Hmmm my SIL wore a similar colored dress as the bridesmaids to our wedding and I actually thought it was pretty cute. However she was doing a reading and the reason she wasn't a bridesmaid was because he has three sisters and it was all or none so we went with none.

Yea I would avoid the same color. People will think you're a "wannabe" I saw that your dress was on Delias.. what about this one:

I probably wouldn't, just because it could be confusing or garner a lot of har har jokes. Get up there Metric! etc. I wouldn't want anyone to confuse me with a bridesmaid.

I think the one posted by Xtina is even cuter if the color works for you. I agree that although the blue dress is pretty, wearing it could cause a problem at the wedding and it is a risk that isn't worth taking.

I wouldn't wear the blue dress because it sounds like there's probably some angst as to why you're not a bridesmaid and the bride could take it as you trying to make a statement. I think the green dress that Xtinastyles posted is a pretty color.
