I think the outfit you described sounds cute! I like the idea of a white cardi and colorful flats. I think if you didn't add those in, it wouldn't look right. You need some other color in there besides the navy. Go for it!

My thoughts exactly. Yellow, orange, pink, or lime green would all work well accent-wise.

I really like the idea of navy with dark denim, but I've also been sorta obsessed with navy recently. I generally wear the two dark blues together with a pair of pink wedges and my pearl necklace. I think the pink with the pearls really softens the darkness of the outfit.
