Hello everyone! I was wondering if any of you ladies had any easy hair style ideas. I am not a morning person, and I really hate doing my hair in the morning.
On a night out I either use a flat iron or a curling iron. But I don't like doing this in the mornings, because it takes too long. So every morning I end up drying my hair and putting it up as I run out the door. By noon it looks like crap. I'd like to wear it down without it looking limp and drab.
Do you guys have any style recs? Does anyone do anything at night to their hair so that you don't have to spend a lot of time in the morning, (such as sleeping in rollers, etc). If it matters, I have thick hair, somewhat wavy.
I've been thinking alot about this lately too. Unfortunatley I don't have any solutions. I was considering trying hot rollers? I thought I could put them in in the morning, take the dog for a walk, then take them out when I get back and am getting ready for work. I don't know how well they work but I don't think it would take up a huge amount of time. I don't really care if I look like a wing-nut walking around the neighborhood in rollers. I'd like to hear from anybody who has used hot rollers before. Thoughts, ladies?
Style your hair at night, wear a shower cap in the AM, this is the biggest time saver. Other than that, try drying your hair until its 90% done, put it in a bun and get ready for the day. By the time you leave, take it out and it will be sexy, messy, pretty w/volume.
I usually dry my hair about 90%, put it up till I get to work. When I get to work, I take it down and it looks nice and soft until it dries. Then it becomes limp and dull looking. I think maybe I need some sort of product that will keep it soft and pretty, but I don't know what.

Any suggestions?
what hair type do you have? Also, are you over-conditioning? I find that conditioner from the ears-down only helps a lot with limpness.
To answer your question, I usually only "do" my hair every other day. I blow-dry, then put it in velcro rollers and blow dry those for a few minutes. I don't wash my hair on the 2nd day and usually put it back or up.

Hmm...I could be over conditioning. I can cut back on conditioner, that's probably a good idea. I have thick hair, and it's pretty heavy. Also, my hair is really healthy, so I don't think a problem lies there.

I'd try less conditioner (or only on the ends) first. That's usually my problem when my hair is limp. But my hair is also very fine, so it may be different for you.
BQ's post reminded me that I have several headbands and barrettes, which help me feel more "put together" when I pull my hair back vs. the standard ponytail.

The recent copy of Lucky featured a hair product that is meant for girls with wavy hair and it mentioned that it makes it super sexy (i've been meaning to try it). I found it, It's on page 86. It's Sally Hershberger's Style Primer Wavy Hair. $12 at Walgreens. I haven't tried it, but for $12 it might be worth it. It's supposed to make it shiny with some texture, volumizes without frizz and can be used on wet or dry hair.
