This bag for Spring/Summer?
Permalink Closed

I love the idea of a patent bag for spring.  I like the details on this one.  But is this color okay for spring and summer?  Do you ladies like this bag?

Really? 51 views and no replies, that's a bad sign right?

IMO its kind of dark for spring. If it was a brighter color, I'd say go for it.
I laos an't get past that the strap looks liek those paper chains we used to make in elementary school.

I agree, I think the strap looks weird and awkward. I also think the color and texture is a little intense for a bag of that size. JMO.

I like patent bags and I don't mind the size on this one, but I can't get past the paper-chain straps and the color isn't really appealing to me. Sorry.

I do not like it, Sam-I-Am.

It looks overdone because of the bright colour and hard to manage due to the strap. I am apparently very silly, because I can't figure out for this moment whether patent leather is dead or alive vis-a-vis its fashion longevity.

But personally, I'd keep looking. I'm sure you'll find something better!

Sorry Lilykind, I didn't see your comment above mine when I posted.. I think it came up while I was writing my reply. I didn't mean to take a shot at you about patent leather. I've heard a couple of people on this forum say they think its going out, so I am trying to sniff the fashion air like a bloodhound on this one. I haven't reached a conclusion.

The color is very fall/winter.  Also, I instantly thought paper chain when I saw the handle, it's a little weird.

I'm not fond of the chain either, and the color (for me) is a bit too dark for a summer bag.

I'm looking at the Botkier Bianca in grey patent for a spring bag. It looks light enough, but I'm not sure if you prefer larger bags.

I like the idea of patent for spring and I think patent can make a fun choice for an everyday bag.  I just don't love that one.

I like the patent but am on the fence about the chain like handle. My favorite spring bag is a coated vinyl Kate Spade bag that is the dark brown/cream zebra stripe. I've had it for 2 years and I still love the neutral-ness of the brown.

Bump for you...I was just looking at the bag description and noticed the chain link is removable. I would definately wear it without the chain. I prefer the red patent color they have, but I'm not sure if that is out of your budget.

Like the color, like the patent, don't like the bag itself. Patent is usually a spring material anyway.

The brown is of course dark, but I don't have a problem with that in and of itself. I wear black year-round, so I won't throw stones.

Is it just my computer or is this bag olive green? I don't like the olive/patent combo. To me, it looks like a glorified army fatigue bag bc of the color and links.

I would wait to find something you just LOVE
