boots, round deux

which do you guys like better? My problem is that they're pretty different to me, and I don't have anything really comparable to either. I have black high-heeled boots, black flat riding boots, golden brown suede cowboy boots, and reddish brown vintage frye-esque boots, but no brown dress boots or flat boots. And the advantage of both of these is that they have pretty tall shafts, which is great cause anything shorter grabs me in the wrong spot (and I feel like a lot of flat boots in particular tend to be shorter).

so it's these:

or these flat ones jmango had posted?

I much prefer the flat ones. I love love love them. The heeled ones are okay. I think I'd like them better without the detailing.

sigh. I think what I really want is something like these:

problem is, they are a) black and, perhaps more compellingly, b) $600 on sale.

sephorablue: net-a-porter never seems to have good sales and takes forever to mark things down so i'd try to find those elsewhere.

might i suggest anne klein coi? i have these in black and i LOVE them. they are true-to-size. the heel is about 4" with a 1/2" platform. they are comfortable to walk in, and even after wearing them for 5 hours i was ok. (ready to take them off, but i wasn't screaming in pain!)

sometimes smartbargains has them (which is where i got mine) but they can also be found pretty easily on ebay. i've also heard they pop up at off fifth and nordstrom rack. stylediary user iloveshoes also has these and a bunch of pictures of outfits with them. an example is here.

I had posted in another post about those Kors' boots...they are beautiful on and apparently very comfy (my cousin has them in black).
