I guess there is no way to correct a dog's cleft palate.. I mean, I know they can pull it off for humans. Who did your dog breed with.. was he maybe a distant relative? Sometimes that can up the risk of birth defects.. or is it a breed thing? I hate that two of the dogs don't get to live, but I can be really sensitive about things like that.
She is a registered lab, we got her from a breeder who didn't want her anymore and wanted to keep one of the puppies instead. So mean! We hadn't gotten her fixed yet and there are two black lab dogs down the street that got to her. I don't know how closely they are related, but we will get her fixed as soon as she can!
Cortney, that was really kind of you to rescue her from a (obviuously irresponsible) breeder! Those kind of people end up dumping their animals at the pound when they're done with them.
