I HATE GROUPWORK!

I'm in the final stages of my MBA and am working on a group project Final due Sunday. My group sucks!

The assignment isn't hard, and they are totally dragging their feet. Come on people, it's Thursday night. Wouldn't it be nice to have a rough draft together?
I left a Christmas party early to come home to put together the assignment, and I haven't yet received the parts from the other members.

grrr.

Ok. Vent over. I just needed to pity myself.

I have had that problem before as well. I would rather work on my own so I can get all of my things done ahead of time. I hate people who rush to throw everything together at the last minute, especially if my grade is counting on them. Good luck, hopefully they will get it together!

Whenever you work in a group, there's always that one person who doesn't do anything and the entire group ends up covering for them. I had one fantastic group in a web design class, but classes like P.E. and even some liberal arts classes that I have taken had group-ees that resulted in my and sometimes a few others staying up all night and having to compensate for the fact that some people in the group are perfectly happy to get a C-plus or a B, and they think you're crazy for wanting to put in more work.
So I agree, not a big fan of group projects!

I know how you feel! At my college group work is supposed to be like one of our "big" things! I hate it! I would so much rather do a big project by myself!

Ugh.  I hate group projects too.  Does anyone like them?  Even if everyone is doing what they're supposed to, it still bites.   For a poli-sci class in undergrad, my group was so bad that I wrote, typed, and compiled the final paper for the group.  On the cover sheet, I put my name larger than everyone else's and on its own line above the rest.  I attached a manifesto to the end of the paper explaining the situation.

I know this is goign to sound really Pollyannaish, but I actually like group projects. It's a different thing, you kind of have to get used to it. I had a job that depended on cooperation with a lot of different people, so it does help if you can learn how to manage them.
