Recs for men's acne products??
Permalink Closed

I wanted to give my bf a nice kit for xmas to use. He has bad acne and is on prescription pills, which work well but dont get rid of all of them. I told him he has to use something in addition to the pills, but i know he wont go out there and get it himself. So here's a breakdown of his skin: He gets red pimples, and whiteheads, he has some scarring from past acne and i think his skin is normal (not too oily or too dry). I wanted to get a kit under $50. He has tried proactive before and it was harsh on his face and didnt really help. I was looking at the sephora website and saw Anthony Logistics has an acne kit and was maybe thinking about getting that one. Do any of ur men use good acne products and has anyone heard anything the Anthony acne kit? Thanks for ur help girls!

My bf uses the Anthony Logistics products (just gave him some new stuff for his bday yesterday) and really likes them. Now with that said he hasn't used any of their acne products so I can't speak on how those work. I do know that with Sephora he could try it out for a week or so and if he didn't like it you could return it to Sephora. The salesgirl said that they will take anything back, but prefer it to be no more than half used. I think if it's less than that they may give you a hard time.

Neutrogena has a kit for men as well, though I don't know how well it works.  Neutrogena products tend to be good in general though IMO.

Last year I bought a bunch of Men's Clinique face products, a wash, scrub, and aftershave. My bf's breakouts cleared up significantly within a couple of months. I think they are reasonable priced as well, going for like $10-15 per product.
