I'm looking for a new pair of jeans.  I'm only 5'2" tall, so they need to come in short sizes.  ( I hate to have pants altered because the knees don't hit in the right spot)  Also, I really don't like too much stretch.  Does anyone have any ideas where I can look?  Because they need to last for awhile I don't really have a budget. TIA!

joe's and seven make some short sizes that are nice, but depending on how long your legs are they may be too short. I'm 5'2" and can get away with regular length seven bootcuts (with heels), the short length is only good for flats on me (but is perfect for them).

Your best bet is probably to go someplace like nordstrom and try on a million differentt pairs and styles sine they all run so differently. (in some brands one style will fit me as is and another will be like a foot too long!)

Go try on the Joe's Jeans in Provocateur, they are made for Petites.  I am about 5'3 1/2", and I bought them to wear with flat shoes.  I have been wearing them all season!
