I was sorry that I have missed seeing an Angel Tree in person this year but a friend told me about MyTwoFrontTeeth.org. It's a great website that is essentially an online angel tree -- there are pages drawings by needy children and their gift request (which is usually around $25). You can make a donation through the website and then they buy the gifts in bulk and wrap and package them. The children's pictures are SO sweet that I thought I would pass it along.
i hate to be the negative nelly, but do you think its legitimate?

It's kind of odd that there are a selection of like 10 different toys and they are priced at within $5 range of eachother. And in an amount that is an affordable donation for most. Also, the little captions is all the same with a few differences.
Awww, it's legitimate! If you read about it, it's part of an organization called the "Family Giving Tree," which gets a good rating from Charity Navigator, which is an independent evaluator of charities.
Also, the website explains that what they do is provide a "catalog" of twenty gifts at affordable prices to needy kids and then the kids pick which one they would like to have on their gift card. On the gift card, the kids can also check boxes to indicate their favorite food, activity, etc., as well as draw the picture that goes up on the website with their short information. I imagine that running their operations in this way allows them to be more efficient and reach a larger number of children.
