Has anyone tried the 00 size at BR? - Update!
Permalink Closed

According to the size chart a 00 should fit me but a few months ago I tried some things on in XS and 0 and they were totally swimming on me so I'm afraid the 00 might still be too big. Any experiences? Also is 00 an online-only size?

See update at bottom!

First, let me say that BR sizing has gotten a little ridiculous. I have a size 00 skirt from there. It fits me fine, and I remember that the 0 was a little big on me. When I go to the petite store, I wear a 0 in skirts and a 2 in pants. I can't wear non-petite pants at all. I'm pretty sure I bought my 00 skirt in the store.

I feel your pain!  I used to shop there but have given up, everything is just too damn big.  There are plenty of slender ladies out there who have little options on places to find clothes!

hey cc, last time I tried XS/0 in BR was at least 2 years ago... everything was too big, it was so frustrating I haven't been in a BR since, so I don't know if the sizing has changed and if it has it usually gets bigger. anyway, based on the 0s of the past, I think a 00 would probably fit me... my meas are 32-26-33 1/2 or 34

their sizing is so inconsistent. I have tried on 00s that were too big, but I own 2s that fit perfectly. Generally, I think the dresses run the biggest, but it's all wacky.

Yeah.. I stopped being able to shop there a while ago because it is way to big. Gap is the same way for me to.

Normally I wear a 2, but at BR a 0 can be big......so their size charts are completely null and void.  I also do not understand their sizing!!

Vanity sizing sucks!   I guess they thought Chico's had the right idea, ugh.  No, I haven't tried the 00 size...but I recently shed the rest of my baby weight and I am finding it hard to finding small sizes that fit properly at places like BR and Gap, where I used to shop all the time just a few years ago.

Well I went ahead and ordered a dress online. I'm trying not to get my hopes up since I have a hard time getting dresses to fit but maybe it will work out.

Update - I got the dress and it fits pretty well! It's too big in the chest cry  but with the help of a padded bra that isn't noticeable. Other than that the only downside is that the belt hits me above my waist so it doesn't give me any real waist definition.

Oh and I ordered a silk blouse in XS and it was absolutely enormous on me! I swear I used to fit into BR clothes better.

you look great, cc! I was talking to a BR SA this weekend, and she said their pants and skirts are running smaller these days (read: more normal). She was very small and she said she wears a 00 or 0. So there's hope! I do find many of their non-knit tops are running huge, though!

You look great!  I swear, companies sizes are getting bigger and bigger...which doesn't make any sense to me...
