The ele polo tournament was great! We came in 8 out of 12th (not too bad), but we won the game that I wanted to win the most (against my old team).
I am jetlagged after my 16 hour flight from Abu Dhabi, but I wanted to say hi to you guys (I missed you guys!!) and post an initial image to try to express how cool it was there.
I'll be back later to write more after I get some sleep.
I've never played polo but have had a few friends who have, as I have ridden horses for a long time. Sounds quite nice. The whole subcontinent is getting SO developed now, its crazy. Vis-a-vis Indian fashion trends, everyone in Delhi is wearing the salwars with thin, thin, tight gauzy sleeves and tight salwars that end at mid ankle. I tried and tried and tried to find a pic on the web- everyone, from newly returned actress Madhuri Dixit to the Voice of India types are putting it on, but this was the closest that I could find online:
The salwar above is a really ugly colour, the suit in question is shockingly unattractive, but its the only representation I could find of this year's North Indian style- although I think the tunic ends much tighter and a little higher above the knee. The tight, skinny leg is really in. The heavy salwar with the longer length tunic is a definite no-no, as are balloon sleeves, which were just in. These tight, sheer sleeves sometimes have different colours on them- like big yellow dots or on pink, or a cute simple motif, etc. My dad is back from India tomorrow with a load of clothes for me (he says not, but I know better), and I'll try to post pictures of myself in the newest trends and explain what is totally out in the pictures section of the forum. Just in case someone is invited to an Indian event or wedding or something and wants to amaze people with being in the know. Did you have a chance to check out local trends in Nepal?
