I have good luck with their stuff most of the time. I have a really cute high waisted skirt from them, some of their stuff doesn't wash as well as I would have hoped. I guess it is kind of hit or miss. You ma just want to wait until your stuff comes in a decide what you think of the quality, fit etc.

I've had fairly good luck with them over the years. The big lesson learned for me was to size up. I wear an womens L or a men's S in AA tees and generally an M in the bottoms.

I own a couple of the basic 2102 crewnecks and they've worn pretty well. I still have one from 2003, although the torso is short. I have a short torso anyway and tend to wear these under wifebeaters so it doesn't bother me.

I just bought this triblend tee in blue and can't wait to get it in gray. I also want them to make more colors. It washes well and is super soft.

I also like their wifebeaters and the high waisted interlock pencil skirts.

I have had less success with the California fleece drawstring pant. The fit is great but the drawstring is a PITA. I've owned it for two years and it hasn't faded much though.

It is overwhelming! I always pre-shop online so I can see the different ways to wear the pieces. I really love the fine jersey T-dress but I usually wear it over jeans. I have it in three colors and think it's really versitle.

I LOVE American Apparel. I usually go with thoughts in mind of what I'm looking for. This helps. As a matter of fact a trip is in order soon.

Im alittle confused about this place - I think its completely overpriced, quality is not that great and the sizing runs small. Since when is it ok to spend $36 on a crewneck tshirt that looks like a Hanes duplicate?

I bought a "convertible" halter dress which was wearable in like 8 different ways. I liked the innovation of it but eventually it started tearing at the bustline (I literally tried to slip it on without untying and RIIIIP)

I agree. I was in the store over Thanksgiving weekend in Chicago and the only thing I liked was the Deep V pictured above. I still did not buy it because it was too freaking long (stop making shirts so long, everyone...please!!!). I thought the crew necks looked cheap and while I liked the idea of stocking a lot of colors I thought all of the colors were icky. Too much primary, not enough weathered or heathered. They looked juvenille to me, like bright yellow and red kid's Fruit of the Loom.

There is a company called Alternative Apparel which I much prefer.
