Maximize the screen again?

OK so somehow my view screen got really small and I'm computer illiterate and can't get it full screen again. I have a MAC, anyone out here that can help me? Yes I've hit the green button at the top of the screen and that doesn't work. I'm really irritated!

In the bottom-right corner of the screen in which you are working, are there three small slanted lines that form the shape of a triangle (under the page up ^ and page down v arrows)? If not, click the green-light button again and check. If not, perhaps there is a problem with the display on your monitor. I don't know how to adjust that on a Mac. If there are 3 slanted lines, click and hold the pointer over them. Drag to resize the window.
