What would you like to see in a beauty blog?

Does anyone read beauty/fragnance/skincare blogs?

I sometimes write for one, and I think I have writer's block.  I tend to stick to my tried and true favorites but figure no one wants to hear about 3 year old products.  It is hard to provide "fresh" material when alot of people in the industry get items sent to them for free months beforehand, meanwhile I am scavengering the aisles of Sephpra seeking the next hottest thing.

So my question is, is there anything you'd like to see more of in a beauty blog that you are just not getting enough of? (example, items for sensitive skin, drugstore products, fragrance, etc)

I wish there were more before and after photos for beauty items. In both magazines and blogs. Like you can read all about how wonderful an eye cream is or how amazing a mascara is, but you rarely see photos of the actual results. That's something I would be interested in.

Bust magazine has a feature where they have three interns test out a product and post their opinions. I like that concept a lot.

I definitely would like to see an honest comparison between high end/low end products.
And some products that actually target problems...and fix them!
Maybe a weekly diy facial suggestion?

real user reviews of ANTI WRINKLE CREAMS that work!  I need one, and I can't afford creme de la mer or whatever!

Also, I would like information about products that only use all natural ingredients, botanicals, etc.  Enough with the chemicals.

I love beauty and fashion blogs, and read them pretty often!

I'd like to see as many bargain buys you can stuff into a blog. If I can look great and save money, I'll never get tired of that! I don't feel the need to spend huge amounts of money on my beauty routine. I'd rather just go down to the drug store and find something awesome there. In fact, I've never bought an expensive department store product, they don't really interest me.

I also agree and would like to see before and after shots, and comparisons between high-end products vs low-end products.

Tips and tricks are always good. For example, how to do certain hairstyles, which I am always looking for, and how to create certain makeup looks. Specifically tips for individuals. Being a redhead with green eyes and fair skin, I have a hard time finding makeup tips or looks to try.

It could be kinda cool if readers could submit a photo and get beauty advice. Just a thought.

I love the idea of before and after photos, you always hear how great things work but would love to see the actual results.

I would love hair tips! I have grown my hair long and have been trying some fun new styles like curling with a straightener and getting the long curls like celebrities have. Sometimes I get the long curly look that I love but sometimes it doesn't work out as well as I would like. I have been doing better since I got my Bed Head curling iron but would still love some tips and new ideas!!
