Need coat suggestion for boots
Permalink Closed

I'm looking at getting a couple pair of knee high flat boots, however I'm confused as to what kind of winter coat/jacket I would wear with them. Any ideas?

Here are the boots I'm thinking about getting:

In grey:

And something similar to this, but black leather instead of suede:

I'd really only like to buy one coat, so if you can think of one that would go would both boots, it would be very helpful to me. TIA!

I'd wear a jacket with boots like those, but I also live where it never really gets that cold.

I'd go to Zara or H&M if you have one and look for something that's sort of Mackage-esque in detailing.

Thanks Lilykind. What do you mean by Mackage-esque?

Yes it gets pretty darn cold here at night. During the day not too bad. But mostly yes, it's cold.

I'm for anything and everything as long as it's cute.  I don't limit myself to one look.

I think they go with everything. The first thing that came to my mind though was a sort of nylon lightweight parka...

Wool coats with interesting details that take it up a notch from the basic peacoat. Sometimes it's big buttons or a statement collar or leather trim.

Soia & Kyo is another place to look. Like erin said, it's the sister brand to Mackage.
