Ponytail scarves and scarves on handbags...thoughts?
Permalink Closed

I just bought a black leather Fillmore deep satchel bag from Banana Republic (I would paste a picture if I could but it won't let me post!) and I was thinking about getting a scarf to tie to it for fun (I have removed the chanel-ish chain decorative thingy).  What kind of scarf would work?  I was thinking of the silk Signature  black and white ponytail scarf from Coach (again, can't post!)-would this work?  I kind of am thinking about using in my hair too so I can get double duty out of it but what do we think of scarves?  Cute on purses?  Cute in hair?  Not cute at all???  And would this one work for my purposes?

I can never get scarves to look cute when tied in my hair, as a headband or ponytail accent. I wish I could, but I have no skills in the scarf tying department. cry

I do tie scarves on purses. I've tied a Moschino silk scarf on my Paddy before. Here's a pic for reference.

I like them on purses, but not a fan of them in a ponytail. I do like them as a headband (use bobbypins to secure it).

I agree! I think that a scarf with a color in the pattern (e.g. red) would make it more snazzy!

Ditto.  I like scarves as headbands, but in a ponytail, I tend to think they look a little cutesy.

I think the scarf and bag together would look cute.
