petite vs misses sizing?

I have been salivating over this dress and now it is on sale plus an extra 25% off.  However, I am a size 6 misses and this is only in petite sizes.  Do you think I could wear a size 8 in a petite?

I guess it would depend on how tall you are.  If you are not extra tall, it might be okay.  Does the website have the designer's measurements/sizing available?

I agree, as long as you're not especially tall or leggy it should be fine.  Check out their size charts online to verify sizing before you buy - the measurements vary but I'm not sure how much.

I think if you're under 5' 5" you should be able to make it work.

I'm 5' 6.75" .  I checked the sizing on the website and the sizing for the misses 6 and the petite 8 is the same except that the waist on the petite 8 is 1/2" larger.  I am not sure about the length, but if it is just above the knee, I won't mind.  I decided that instead of using the automatic 25% off I would use the 20% off code and get free shipping.  It came out about $5 cheaper.
