A friend of mine is going through a crappy time right now.  He didnt get accepted to med school and now has a pretty much worthless degree (biochemistry).  His birthday is coming up and I wanted to get him something nice.  Do you think this mug is too girly? Any other ideas?

I feel like it is a little girly, but also more of a reminder that he didn't get in instead of something fun for his bday. Maybe just take him out to a nice dinner or to a movie?

eeeh, true. Don't want him to be reminded of it.  He lives in in another state, thats the issue. hmm

What about a Happy Birthday cookie bouquet?  I know when I'm sad I love cookies, plus its good for a bday. =)

I agree, something else.  I think a regular birthday gift, instead of a pity present would make him feel better.  How about a comedy movie?

What can I do with a major in biochem? (NCSU)

possible job titles in biochem and chemistry

Opportunities for biochm majors

What about working as a Physician Assistant?
