Deodorant woes - sick of white crud on my clothes!
Permalink Closed

I'm sick of the deodorants that advertise that their brand makes it safe to wear dark colors without getting white crud on my clohtes.  I've tried Lady Speed Stick (both regualr and their Crystal Clear line) and Dove Ultimate Clear, and all three get white stuff on my darker shirts.  Can anyone recommend one that keeps this to a minimum, or by some miracle doesn't get on clothes at all?

I love Degree Ultra Clear - the tag line is "little black dress approved", and it really doesn't leave any residue at all.

It's not cheap, but I'll never use drugstore again after Fresh Sugar Roll On. It does take a bit of time to dry, but because the formulation is completely different from a traditional stick deodorant there's no residue. It also doesn't smell artificial like a lot of deodorants do.

Fresh Roll-on Sugar, Deodorant and Antiperspirant

Also, have you tried the aerosol spray deodorants? I find those don't generally get on clothes.

I use Certain Dri when I know I'll be dancing up a storm. It's a roll-on that you put on the night before. It's good enough to last you the whole rest of the day (it's supposedly the best antiperspirant out there, hence my using it before a lot of exercising), but since it's clear and you put it on so far ahead of putting your clothes on, there's no risk of white

I've used certain dri too.

A great tip I got from somewhere is that if you et the white marks, they'll come right off if you rub at it a bi with a pair of nylons. I dont' know why, but it seriosuly lifts the white right off.

Thanks for the tip!

I just posted about the Mitchum Smart Solid for Women. No white stuff and it doesn't feel like you smeared Smuckers on your underarms!

Highly recommend.

Mitchum ladies solid (NOT the mens, which is terrible) is pretty good. Not perfect, but the best I've used. And, funny enough, much better than the ones that are advertised as "safe for black."
