We had a great time, thanks for asking!  I had some jet lag, so we just hung around the local area for a few days.  We did some shopping, lots of eating (Korean BBQ is fabulous!) and he treated me to an hour and a half hot oil massage that was just heaven!  It was half massage, half visit to a chiropractor!  We did a tour of the DMZ (North and South Korean border) which was amazing, and the highlight of the sightseeing for me.  We went into the room right on the border where they've done all talks between the N. Korea and the U.N. since 1953.  Half was in the south, half was in the north.  So of course we walked over to the north for a minute.  So technically, I've been to North Korea!  I think that's pretty cool.  Other than that, we didn't do much but hang out together, which was nice.  The area is interesting.  Not somewhere I'd want to live for an extended period of time, but I'm glad I got to see it.

For my last two nights, we stayed up in Seoul.  That city is wild.  25 MILLION people in the metropolitian area.  It's just mind boggling.  We did a bus tour of the city, a palace tour, went up in the Seoul Tower (which is similar to the Space Needle in Seattle), some shopping, the Korean War museum and other odds and ends.

One thing that cracked me up about visiting South Korea, was how much my husband and I stood out among 99.9% of the population.  My husband is a tall, big white guy who shaves his head smooth (which I heard some Koreans just assume he's a skinhead!!!) and me, I'm 5'10", blonde, fair with big boobs.  My husband would watch peoples faces as we'd walk around Seoul.  They'd look at me mostly, alternating between my hair and my boobs.  Not rudely, though.  Guess I was pretty fascinating!  I found it hilarious.  We walked into one very out of the way restaurant that probably wasn't used to many foreigners, and the waitress looked so shocked to see us, that she stared at us for a good 30 seconds before saying anything.  We had a great time in Seoul, though.  It was fun.

It took me quite awhile to get over the jet lag, and the lack of sleep brought down my immune system and I got pretty sick for awhile, so I've only been feeling back to my usual self for the past 3 days.  It was worth it though!  DH comes back next week for 2 weeks, and then we're in the home stretch and he'll be back around the first of the year!

I'm so happy you had a good time! That massage sounds wonderful, what a sweet hubby. And too funny that everyone stared at your hair and boobs!

glad you had fun! this happened to my friend who was visiting me; she's a smidge shorter than you, yet she stood out like a giraffe. wherever she went, people were awe-struck. it was hilarious to see korean guys try to hit on her with their broken english. it did wonders for her ego :)

edited for excessive use of semicolons.
