My friend needs to accessorize this dress for a somewhat dressy event. It will be cold and she plans on wearing opaque tights. Any ideas?

eta: I was thinking patent leather pumps and a clutch, maybe in red? Does that sound bad?

eta again: It's kind of a blueish gray and cream.

I love the idea of red with that dress, and that's what I was going to suggest. She could also do a big bangle with it, in a bold color (teal comes to mind), and some fun earrings. That's a pretty dress.

COBALT blue would look amazing with that dress!!! You could do a cobalt blue clutch and black patent shoes too , as another alternative.

I was thinking red bag too, or even red shoes and black or bone bag. If she has any beige pearls (versus pearls with a pink or green tint) that could be pretty - perhaps a pearl bracelet or short pearl necklace.

A short black boucle jacket would be cute.
