thanks everyone for your kind responses.  it was a perfect, magical day. aww

to those who asked about the inscription in my dress, it reads:
"Into my hands" 28 years ago, a treasure was given.
"Out of my hands" I now give to you the creation of your treasured wedding gown.

She kept it covered with a piece of pink fabric from her suit (which she also made!) while we were going through the creation/fitting process.  so, i learned what i said when she brought it to me (as shown through the photographs) that day.

Also, the ring that my father gave me was an heirloom ring that belonged to my Great Aunt Daisy.  She and her husband owned a custom tailored men's store back at the turn of the century and I always felt this connection to her even though I never knew her.  So that's the story on the ring.

And Nicoley- yes, the photographers are out of Pittsburgh.  They are an absolute joy to work with and a lot of fun!
