but I need advice on where to go looking for black pants and comfy flat shoes. I need this by this Friday and I only have tomorrow to go looking.
I want to spend under $100 for the shoes and I'm hoping the pants I find won't need to get hemmed (sp?) because I probably wont have time to get them shorter.
any ideas would be great!

i think express editors come in short in the black, and they are my go-to pants.

halleybird posted about these flats on another thread saying they are super comfy:

Go somewhere like Gap or Limited where they sell different pant lengths in-store; and look at petite sections of stores. 

These are $80.00 (try to get a piperlime 20% coupon); but they are soooo comfortable.  Privo, Oso


Be sure to get something as comfortable as you can.  I worked at VS and--like an idiot--wore heels.  OUCH!

All are under $100 - mostly zappos & shoeline.com

I 2nd Erin's suggestion of the Express Editors.  I know for a fact they come in shorts, because I recently got a pair of long's and had to dig through a ton of shorts to find them smile  Plus, there are always coupons out for Express.

If you're trying to keep it cheap on work clothes, I'd go with a Gap outlet or an Old Navy because they normally have black pants on sale.
