My sister recently got promoted at her work. She is now a Customer Assitant Supervisor at Best Buy. This is such a great opportunity for her, especially since she is 22 and living on her own. I would like to get her a gift to show her how proud I am of her. Any ideas?

How awesome! How about a Best Buy gift card? :P

Hmm.. you should take her out for dinner, and get her a gift for her place. Is she missing anything? Like, if she's an espresso geek, a cool coffee espresso machine would be neat.

She pretty much is good in her apartment. I was thinking maybe like a nice professional binder or pen. confused.gif

I don't know, any ideas are welcome!

What about a grownup bag that's work-appropriate? Not so much a briefcase, which is a bit impractical, but a professional-looking totebag?

Or a watch.

Or a pretty trench coat or other piece that a 22-year-old would appreciate having in a work wardrobe.

A pen is good. Engraving is also cool.

How about a Palm Pilot? I know I love mine even though I'm not managerial or anything. It's definitely useful! You can get one of those 3 in 1 pens with a stylus attached engraved if you decide on a PP. :)

I like Suasoria's ideas a lot -- those are all things that someone just starting out in the work force would really appreciate. If you just wanted to do something that would be a little treat for her, you could get her a gift certificate for a manicure/pedicure, or give her a cute lunch bag for work with a gift certificate to a restaurant.

Thanks Chicas!!!!! I am going to look into the palm pilot or the engraved pens, or the pedicure.
