My take on the sport: run a few yards, smash, fall, walk around for 10 minutes. I mean seriously, people get all excited b/c they run for a few yards!? I'm sorry, I can't get into football and never could. I hate football season!!!! The games are always on in my house....
I despise it! I grew up in Nebraska and college football is like a religion there and I have always hated it. I went to college at UNL and they were national champions 3 of the 4 years. To see drunk people running down the street screaming "We did it!" was really annoying.
I really don't like it. It's too much starting and stopping for me! I'd rather watch basketball or soccer, where there is movement going on continuously

I hate it! I never really have understood it. It's so much noise too. Why would anybody want to listen to a whole stadium full of people yelling/screaming/cheering/etc.? I prefer to watch figure skating.
I freaking hate football! Actually my husband is sitting here watching one of the local HIGH SCHOOL teams play on ESPN right now (ridiculous!) and yesterday we drove to Columbus for my hubby and son to go to the Ohio State football game but I took my two little boys to COSI, a science museum in Columbus, while they were there. Friday night our family spent the evening watching our local high school football game.
My son plays 7th grade football (this is his fourth year of playing) and my husband gets so mad at me because I just sit around and yap with all the other moms and pay no attention to the game. Sorry-it is too confusing and boring for me to follow.
My dad is a professional baseball coach but I hate baseball too. I like college basketball best (and cheerleading).
With every fiber of my being. I am not a sports fan, but I like college basketball, and I can at least watch hockey & professional basketball. Baseball isn't bad, but it's very long. Football makes me want to poke my eyes out with a stick.

There's something fun about being at a college football game (being outside, tailgating, hanging out with friends, etc.) but I can't stand watching the sport on tv. So. boring. Same goes for baseball. The only sport I actually get into when I watch on tv is hockey. I LOVE hockey--it's faced paced, nothing complicated, and easy to follow. I like soccer for the same reason, but I don't really follow it like I do hockey.
I live in KC so the Chiefs are HUGE here but I grew up in STL without a football team (the Rams came after I left). It's interesting watching the football culture and the live games are much more fun than I thought they would be. But I think baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, ANYTHING is more exciting than football! I agree - too confusing and too much stopping. Right when something happens the darn game stops for minutes at a time!!!
I can generally watch most sports, but I only really get into baseball (Yankees) and college football (USC). My BF is a big football person, but I could care less about the NFL...college is so much more fun to me. It probably helps that SC was the national champion when I was still going to school there. ;)
I am completely indifferent to football, and pretty much all other sports. I think that if DH or some of my male friends were football nuts, that I wouldn't like it, because I'm not interested in hearing about it 24/7.
I grew up with the NFL, out west, and love it. It's the only sport I really follow, though I like to go to baseball games in person. Having moved to the southeast five years ago, I can't get behind the freakin' religion of college ball though. I mean, people set up their social lives / events around it!
Actually, football is a lot of fun because DH loves it too - we're both from the western part of the country and grew up watching as kids. When we were dating, we used to in-line skate a lot, and one time he accidentally lost his footing and crashed into me. He apologized all over the place, but I just looked at him, smiled, and said, "Football season starts tomorrow" and pushed him right back. He was so impressed that I knew when the season was starting! So now it's a little joke between us.
