I cant believe I am asking this...so im on BC and ive been "active" with my bf for awhile.  Recently (for the last week and a half) I've been spotting and have had some other wierd symptoms such as getting dizzy wheni work out, feeling sick all the time, etc.  I took a preg. test and it was negative, but I am wondering if it matters WHEN i take the test. Does it matter what point in my cycle I take it?  I am on seasonale, so i shouldnt be getting my period for another month, im freaking out here.

how long ago did you start seasonale? If you haven't had your first period yet, this might be a product of that...I've heard of things being a bit weird before you get that first one out of the way. (like abnormal spotting, etc.)

If you've started Seasonale recently it definitely could be your body adjusting to both the new hormones and the extended cycling.  If you're not due for your Seasonale 'period' for another month, then you're probably around the time you'd normally have a period if you were unmedicated - bodies like to fake you out around that time!  I've had a couple very, very similar spells, all around the time I'd have normally gotten a period, and all within the first year I was on Seasonale, FWIW.

It shouldn't matter where you are in your cycle (which isn't a cycle at all, theoretically, on the pill).  If you did happen to be pregnant, the hormones that cause the weird symptoms are the same ones the test picks up.  If they're high enough to cause symptoms, they should also be high enough to turn up a positive test.  That is a massive generalization, but all things considered in this situation IMO it's a relatively safe one!

I'd test again in a couple days, with first morning urine.  If that's still negative but you're feeling weird in another week or two, test again!  If that's still negative and you're still feeling crappy I'd call the doc - they might have a suggestion for a different pill that doesn't make you feel like crap!

I doubt you're PG. I went through very similar things when my body was adjusting to Seasonale. I think it's probably pretty normal, especially the spotting. For me, I actually had no trouble the first 3 months, had a bit of issues the next 3 months, and had a big issue about a year in (period stuff). Now that my body is seriously used to it, I've had no issues and consider having 4 periods a year a godsend.

Just remember that if you're taking your pill regularly, the odds are very high that you're not PG - just adjusting.
