Before the days of plastic SpaceMaker boxes:

Way better than the plain plastic boxes! Back in the day there was always such a variety of school boxes with all kinds of pictures on them. Whenever they fell off your desk all the kids would help pick up your supplies that fell out!

I TOTALLY had the USA one on the upper right. Wild...currently having major nostalgia trip right now. I really liked those boxes. They were definitely more interesting than the pencil bags and plastic boxes I used later.

I recall having a hot air balloon one.  I wish they still made those.  But damn, I cannot believe how long it took before the plastic boxes became standard since we used these into the early 90's!
