New Skirt for Fall - Tops??

Hi all,

I was out shopping today and bought a fall skirt.  It is one of the really high waisted pencil skirts in a charcoal/black narrow stripe and is very fitted.  It goes past the knee about 4" and had an ruffled inset in the middle at the back for about 4".  The only pics I've seen of similar styled skirts (high waisted narrow pencil) have been worn with fairly fitted blouses tucked into them.  Is this the way to wear this skirt?

I have a really cute open knit sweater that is cropped at the waist and has a removable fur collar that would probably look sharp with it but would need another layer.

Any ideas?  Links to pics?

I think you can wear anything with it that you'd wear with well-tailored "mensy" slacks - blouses, sweaters, and so on. Bebe often has that type of skirt - perhaps more knee-length, but it's worth checking their site. The sweater sounds cute. A simple camisole underneath would probably do the trick.

Thanks.  I'm thinking maybe a satin finish blouse with princess seeming tucked in and for some reason a deep green is what I picture.  There was a matching jacket at the store that was cropped to the waist in a double breasted style but it had elbow length sleeves with slightly puffy shoulders.  I may go back and try it again in a size smaller as it just looked too big on top of such a fitted skirt.  I could wear it with other things but was concerned that the mid-length sleeves would make it too restrictive - no wool in summer and no short sleeves in winter which leaves about a month of fall weather here.
