anyone ever snap a phone in two?
Permalink Closed

So I have a razor through verizon and threw a hissy fit today and snapped my phone in two ( my Italian temper got the best of me)
I'm going to get a new phone tomorrow but has anyone ever done this before? Do you know if they'll be able to bring back my stored numbers? I'm so afraid I'm going to lose all my stored #'s!!
TIA!

Are your #'s saved to the SIM card or the phone? If they are saved to the SIM, there shouldn't be a problem. Not sure about if they are stored on the phone though. Good luck! (Oh, and I totally got a mental picture of you all red faced and smoke coming out of your ears, snapping your phone in two, kind of like you would see on a cartoon wink.gif)

i broke one 2 years ago when it dropped and then split @ the hinge a few weeks later.  sprint was able to print out the numbers i had stored within 5 minutes, otherwise, i would've had to surrender the new phone for 24 hours while they ported it.  however, i needed the phone for work so i took the printout instead.

i've snapped a phone in two before. as long as the bottom part still works you can retrieve numbers.  in my case, i could tell the bottom part still worked b/c when i plugged in the charger, the light came on indicating that it was charging.
