well I am. I haven't been in here for a while cause I've just been depressed. I don't care to be around people, especailly the ones that dont know my business yet. This sucks. and I haven't been shopping in forever! now that really sucks! :) I know i can talk and tell you guys the truth here. but i dont think I'll be telling others the truth too much. just thought I'd share. my husbands taking the wireless connection with him, so I wont be albe to log on till probably Friday. talk to you girls then.
you know what else sucks? is that my husbands dad is saying we didn't try hard enough to keep the house. that he dosen't understand why we still have two cars, etc. WTF. he wants us to lose our cars and house too? i guess people will talk no matter what. I guess i need to be prepared for that too....
Awww, (((hugs))). Hon, I don't know what you mean by losing your home, but I will tell you that you are far from alone if it is from foreclosure. The rates are for foreclosure are up like 56% according to a weekend news story. I am so sorry it is happening to you.
Just an FYI, a very close family member declared bankruptcy about 3 years ago and already has a credit rating of, I want to say around 650, which the person said is average rating that qualifies for loans, cc cards, whatever. My point is that it won't take long to build your life back up. My close relative has and they are far from being the most responsible with money, so it just goes to show diligence and determination in starting over can lead to good things. It was a great fresh start for my relative.
Gosh, I'm sorry, Tati. People will say things like your FIL did - it's easy to be an armchair quarterback. Just remember that the only person you control is yourself - he's going to say what he's going to say and it's up to you to not let it get to you.
Stay positive, and know that you will overcome this and be back on your feet in the future.

I hate that you have to go through this. I agree with D that it is very easy for others to say what they would do if they are not in your situation. Do what is best for you, you are the best judge of what that is.
Gosh, I am so sorry Tati. You are definitely not alone. I don't know what happened, but Drew is right about foreclosure rates. A lot of it is due to irresponsible lending on the part of lenders. I am sorry.

hey Tati, my family went through this when I was a teenager. I'm afraid can't offer any comfort, because the honest truth was it was absolutely awful, but I just wanted to say I know what you're going through. Hang in there, it WILL get better.
SIL & BIL went through this last year - with three kids at home - and I'm so sorry to hear that you are having to deal with this. They ended up short selling and now rent, but it was an awful summer for all of us - we were so worried about them. What a difference a year makes though - they are slowly recovering (just came out for a vacation last week) and are doing much better than when we went to see them this time last year.
Hang in there!! I'm thinking of you and wishing you the best.
