I missed that thread somehow.  Okay, yeah-this drug is not for me.  I would like to hear if anyone has tried it though and how bad the side effects really are.  I wouldn't want to risk it though-not worth it!

DH is using it. Its only been a few days, but so far he likes it. As long as you keep meals under 15 grams of fat, you don't get the worst side effects. All he's complained about is some slight gas pain.

It is a little difficult to plan meals so low in fat (I'm actually surprised!) depending on how much you eat. For me its easy (I'm not takign the pills, but I do want to lose weight and I refuse to cook 2 meals) , but he often likes to have 2 servings and that eliminates a lot of options.

If anyone is curious, I'll update in a week or so to let you know how he's doign and if anything has changed. So far, I don't see any reason to not recommend it. The fear of eating too much fat is definately motivation to keep to your diet!

My coworker is on it as well and hasn't had any crazy side effects.  She does tend to eat really low fat as it is.  I haven't seen any dramatic weight loss in the 2 weeks she's been on but I'll have to ask.  The price is a bit high right now for me to try it out.

remember- you're not actually *supposed* to see dramatic results with it. It says it will help you lose 50% more weight. So if you've been doing WW (like DH has) and average a 2 pound a week loss, with Alli you should only really expect that to be bumped up to 3 pounds a week.
