I recently bought this dress/jacket suit combo from banana republic...i also bought the skirt to wear with the jacket...

Because it is a dress/skirt and my legs show, my instinct tells me to wear closed-toe pumps or even a peep-toe, but are more open type sandals okay?  I work in a law office, and it is by no means super conservative, but i still want to be appropriate.

I have some like these....swd391_zi?$thumbnail$ but can i jazz up the outfit with some color, pattern or texture?

Hmm, I think I would stick with at least a peep-toe. If your office isn't super conservative, then you would wear a colorful shoe, or something with more detail.

These are some of my favorites from that site, but I don't know that all of them are law firm appropriate.

I usually wear my Red Kate Spade Peep Toes with my black dress suit...even to court...but i think we're both aware of the differences of court in The County and the general practice of law everywhere else in the country....

But I definitely think you could get away with some color at work...remember how well orange pants worked out for you??

Just some suggestions, mostly for color.I think if it is a darker color it would be fine.

I don't know if snake print would be too "racy" or not, but the shape is classic.

They also come in red.
